Bali Exotic Marine Park is present as a Dolphin Sanctuary in Bali which has a mission to build tourist attractions that focus on conservation and education. We build a structured area by prioritizing the preservation of dolphins in a conservation area.

The approach is based on the principle of respecting the natural behavior of animals. This is to create a safe environment between animals and humans as well as build awareness about the importance of protecting ocean ecosystems.

Bali Exotic Marine Park / BEMP has an important role as a learning center that invites visitors to understand their closeness to dolphins. The experience presented is very informative and ethical, where visitors will be invited to see a large and comfortable conservation area.

Dolphin conservation in Bali is presented to realize conservation efforts and sustainable tourism. Education is the main foundation that helps BEMP’s contribution in shaping a new way to enjoy dolphins in Bali in a more meaningful way.

The Journey and Formation of BEMP Since 2017

BEMP / Bali Dolphin Marine Park was born from the collaborative spirit of a group of people who strive for the conservation of animals in the ocean. The beginning of the establishment of BEMP involved the government, academics, animal practitioners, several industry players and local communities. This collection is to build a dolphin sanctuary that focuses on animal welfare, education, and sustainable conservation.

Our journey began in 2017 with the planning and design phase for conservation for dolphins. This is intended so that dolphins that are not possible can be released into the wild.

In August 2019, this was the first year that BEMP received the first dolphins in an open habitat and the inauguration took place in September 2019 which was marked by our role as a pioneer of marine conservation and education on the island of Bali.

The challenge began in 2020 since the pandemic, but we still maintain our commitment to welfare of animals and implement strict health protocols. This commitment was further strengthened in 2021 by rescuing seven dolphins from illegal captivity in the Sanur Area. We also collaborate with the Marine Guard Foundation on a variety of conservation programs.

Entering 2023, Bali Exotic Marine Park began to receive official recognition from the government through visits from the Chairman of Commission IV of the House of Representatives and the Director General of KSDAE. With this visit, it also expands its role through an academic partnership with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University. In 2024, BEMP also affirmed its commitment to presenting sustainable tourism with restoration actions in the Bali Mangrove Forest in the context of Earth Day.

Not just an ordinary visit, we have 4 selected programs that are ready to present different tours with Dolphins in Bali. The 4 options are:

1. Discovery+ Program

The Dolphin Discovery+ Program is an exclusive option to offer more private interactions in small groups. This program will allow visitors to be inside the pool and interact directly. The program is equipped with additional facilities such as a dedicated seating area, drinks and snacks, and photo documentation.

2. Discovery Program

The Dolphin Discovery Program is a popular experience at Bali Exotic Marine Park that takes visitors to swim with dolphins while learning about their behavioral interactions. The program provides a comprehensive experience from feeding to education about dolphin characteristics and intelligence.

3. Encounter Program

The Dolphin Enconter Program is a more relaxing experience than any other because it allows visitors to be at the edge of the pool. Participants will interact with dolphins from the edge of the pool without having to be in the pool. Both children and the elderly can enjoy exciting moments of play, feeding, and new knowledge.

4. Explorer Program

The Dolphin Explorer Program will invite you to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere of the Dolphin Sanctuary in Bali. Visitors can get the opportunity to be able to enjoy dolphin kissing. Visitors will enjoy high tea and get a snack set by relaxing in the longue area.

Pride Academy di BEMP

PRIDE ACADEMY is a flagship program presented by Bali Exotic Marine Park. The Program for Responsible Interaction, Development & Education is a series of Education modules that aim to form the next generation of marine guardians. This program is a forum for responsible learning and combines observation, education, and understanding of the interaction between humans and animals in the ocean, especially dolphins.

Overall, the concept of the Pride Academy is structured in harmony with modern conservation principles and supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In the Pride Academy, participants will be invited to understand more deeply about dolphins and their important role in the balance of ecosystems in the ocean. The learning materials obtained are about dolphin behavior, physical needs, and challenges obtained during conservation.

With this educational approach, the participants will be guided by a team of professionals who are very experienced in the field of animals and marine conservation. Several selected programs will be presented for participants that can be adjusted to their age and learning goals later.

The program will begin with an introduction session to the start of an in-depth education program with practitioners. Each series has been designed to be able to build awareness and a sense of responsibility for the protection of the marine environment.
